The unveiling ...

No, haven't made a decision on the name change yet, so keep the suggestions coming!!

Rather, this post is to unveil ...

THIS!

Yes! The table and chair project is finally finished!!
The seats are made of clear perspex. I'm going to get cushions for them, so that some of the more sensitive tushies won't be too uncomfortable, but I sat on them all this evening and they are not at all uncomfortable. This is exactly the look that I wanted, and I finally found someone who would do it for me. So there you have it - just in time for summer - my outdoor furniture!

Those who wish to compare before and after shots without flicking backwards and forwards, can see this post, and this post.
:-)

Wow! Beautiful job.

Okay, I'm coming over. Make sure there's good coffee around, darling. Thus fortified, we can come over to my place and you can paint my table. ;)

Thank you, darling!! You are always welcome, as you know - and now we'll have something to sit on outside.

We must definitely do your table also ... that's a must!

As for good coffee though ... hmm ... I'm not really good at coffee. I can offer you great tea though! :)

I'm coming over too! How about Saturday night, March 31? I'll bring a home-baked pie!

This is the footage from an anti-semitic rally at Wayne State University last Thursday on campus:

Here is a story that aired about the rally on Fox 2 News (Detroit):

Here are two rally organizers (Mike Staunch and Shemon Salam) trying to defend themselves, but they ended up being really offensive:

There is also a story posted on littlegreenfootballs about the rally.

THE OFFENSIVE GROUP WHO ORGANIZED THE RALLY, "ANTI-RACIST ACTION" (ARA), IS MADE UP MOSTLY OF NON-STUDENTS, AND THE GROUP OPENLY CALLS FOR THE DESTRUCTION OF ISRAEL AND AMERICA.

Thank you, Anonymous. And the connection between this and my outdoor furniture is ... what, exactly?

I'm sorry that there are anti-Semites at Wayne State, wherever that may be (Wayne seems an unlikely name for a State, but there you have it), but I'm not terribly surprised. There are anti-Semites in the strangest places. Perhaps you should start a blog about it?

Oh Tif and Udge - somehow I missed seeing your comments. Thanks for the complimentos :) You're both more than welcome to come try them out, though I realise that Tif has more chance of doing so in the near future than Udge does ... :)

Tres chic, NC.
I like the fact that one's pets could check out the humans' derrieres from below. Evens the playing field a bit.
Love the colour, and the garden is tres jolie.

Hey Noam - Thanks for stopping by :)

The seats are clear perspex precisely for that reason. My dog had made a special request to that effect.

And thanks for the comment on the garden, though "garden" is a bit of a big word for a collection of potted plants on a balcony, still, I do my best given my resources ... :)

Let's hope the seated derrieres are in shape, lest the dog regret the request ;).

As for your modesty à propos your garden, if a bunch of rocks on the ground can be classified as such, I'd say your collection is in the clear.

I have a weakness for roof gardens, anyway. Nothing to do with my penchant for sunbathing--I swear ;). Oh, how I miss TA.
