A whiff of the Med

It's alright, outward appearances hardly matter these days as I have painfully discovered. Back when I was 13 and had really really short hair [crew cut, I think], I went to the supermarket nearby to get a box of chocolates for my cousin's birthday. While I was getting it wrapped, the girl who was wrapping it asked me if I was a girl. God knows what got into her, maybe it was because I was wearing those sexy gray shorts.
